Please go over your Readings before every Mass.
When announcing the name of the person(s) that the Mass is being offered for, please announce the name(s)
in the following manner: "This Mass is being offered for the Happy Repose of the Soul of:
(name(s)). Also, use the same format in the General Intercessions in the "Prayer of the Faithful".
If unsure of a pronunciation, please ask.
There is no need to say "The First Reading" or "The second Reading" before beginning, the people know this.
Begin with the reading itself.
After each Reading, please pause for a brief moment to allow the people to comprehend the Reading.
There is no need to say "Please sit" or "Please stand" - people know this.
When reading the Announcements - Before Mass, (reading the name of a deceased person)
please do not say, "who has passed away". Say: "Who died this week."
When reading the Announcements, "After the Final Blessing", please do not give an introduction,
such as, "There are several additional announcements that should be brought to yoru attention."
Instead, just read the announcements.
